I own a Pinnacle PCTV USB2 device, which allows me to view TV through
my PC. I recently had to nearly flatten my PC due to a virus, and
reinstall software as needed. When I went to reinstall the software to
run the PCTV device, I found the disks to be missing. I contacted
Pinnacle and spoke to someone in technical support, then sales, and
then customer support, only to find out that there are no replacement
disks to be had. I purchased this device through Amazon.com a little
less than a year ago, but apparently Pinnacle considers my version -
rev 1.2 - to be a legacy item. I was told that it's not that they
won't provide me with the software; it is that they cannot provide me
with the software. According to them, none exists.
Does anyone out there know of a way that I can get hold of this
software? One suggestion that each department in Pinnacle made was to
purchase a new PCTV USB2 device. I don't want to do that since I
already have one, but no software.
Thanks in advance for your reply/comments.

Thank you for the reply.
I tried loading the hardware onto my system via the link that you
supplied. Unfortunately, it didn't work. When I try to open the
application, I receive a hardware application error. Apparently there
is a conflict between this version of the software and the version of
the hardware that I own. It was worth a try though. So close! The
software loaded, passed all PC tests, but the hardware does not work.
According to the folks at Pinnacle, the version of the software needed
for my hardware is no longer available though them. I have conducted a
Google search to see if some might exist on the Net, but have had no
luck. I have also tried third party TV viewing software. Best luck so
far has been video output with audio.
If anyone could offer another suggestion, it would be most appreciated.
Thanks once again.
