Does anyone know if the Pinnacle Studio version 8 can be used to make a
audio file using only the audio portion from a scene? If so, how to do it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

can't you simply "lock" the original audio track and delete the video
portion?
I haven't tried it on my version of 8.8 but I'm sure it would work .....(if
the #@$#$%$# peice of $#@$#@ would run stable enough to try it!

On a side note.....how stable is your version of Pinnacle 8?
Mine sucks!

I did use the sound from an old presentation- locked it in an added current
slides- the only problem I had is when I added the slides it added them to
the timeline past the audio track-- just had to move it- although it took
some time- and as always the system is so fragile that it froze all the
time- had to save after each move then restart the program-

MY Version is 8.07 and it crashes all the time I think its is because it is
using as USB capture not DV.

I hate to be a party pooper but I've just updated my pc from a Compaq
Deskpro 1Ghz windows 98 to A Shuttle based on an AMD processor with 500Mb of
memory and running XP. Whilst the Compaq crashed very occasionaly the Shutle
has yet to misbehave atall.

For the most part I agree with you- but when you challenge it with things
like slides which I was doing it does freeze. I think it has to do with the
resizing process. But after you get though all the resizing and transitions
it burns fine.
