I'm using PCTV Vision, version 2.50 and Pinnacle Studio 9 on my pc. When I
installed PCTV Vision al was working good. After I have used Studio 9 I have
no longer video in my PCTV screen. Audio works ok.....
Does anyone know how to deal this problem?
And, does anyone know how to update PCTV Vision?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an overlay issue. Does it
fail each time you "use" S9, or after
you installed S9? Did you reboot?
Have you tried reinstalling PCTV?
Did you upgrade to the latest DirectX
drivers? Latest video drivers? What
OS? If XP, do you have SP2 installed?

Hello Don,

Thanks for your reaction. I installed PCTV and it worked proper. Before that
I did already install S9. Than I went using S9 to make a movie. And after
that I wanted to look at PCTV and have only sound, no picture. The
broadcasting stations were all still in place.
My OS is XP Pro with SP 2, but before I did upgrade with SP 2, I had the
same problem.
My DirectX is 9.0 c ( 4.09.0000.0904), the most recent one and my video
drivers are also recent.

Can it be a problem of "using the same IRQ or something like that? I only
don't know how to find that and how to change that...

Best regards,

Wim

I don't see if you rebooted, then tried PCTV right
afterward. Does it work before you run S9?

I'm trying to isolate whether the problem is systemic
or occurs after you run S9.

From your description, you installed S9, then PCTV
and everything worked fine. After you ran S9, your
problems began. I deduce then that it is the running
of S9 that causes the problem.

If it occurs only after you run S9, make sure Studio
is dead when you exit by bringing up the Task
Manager and killing it if the executable remains
in memory. If that doesn't work, but rebooting
allows you to use PCTV, then you might have
to reboot each time you exit S9.
